Yea for Jesus!

Today's Verse:
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. ~2 Corinthians 1:20
The word “yea” is a word of affirmation. It can mean a vote of approval or simply “yes.” Sometimes this idea is conveyed by phrases such as “right on” or “most assuredly.” Whatever the case may be, it is a word that tells us, “It is alright” or “OK.” This word is used to describe our Lord Jesus Christ and the promises of God in Him. This morning, let us give a “yea for Jesus.”
We see the truth.
The usage of the word “yea” implies everything about Jesus as the truth. Jesus is full of grace and truth. He is the way, the truth, and the life. As the truth, He cannot lie. As the truth, there is no darkness nor shadow of deceitfulness about Him. There is nothing counterfeit or questionable about the Person and promises of Jesus. He saves every sinner who calls on Him for salvation from sin. He is with us always, even to the end of the world. He promises to keep us from falling. He prays for us that Satan does not sift us as wheat. Yes, all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen.
We see the triumph.
Not only does “yea” imply the truth that is in Jesus, but it also implies the triumph that is in Jesus. We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Nothing shall separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. He is Jesus, Who causes us to triumph in every circumstance, trial, and difficulty. Through Jesus, we are on the winning side. When a sinner calls on the name of Jesus, he is saved. When a child of God prays in the name of Jesus, he can ask what he will and it shall be done unto him. “Yea” and “Amen” encourage us because of the triumph we have in Jesus.
We see the tribute.
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” The “yea” in Jesus is for His glory. He is to receive the glory in every life. He is to receive the glory in everything we do. He is to receive the glory in the church. He is to receive the glory when He answers our prayers. He is to receive the glory now and forever. He is to receive glory in our sufferings and trials. He is to receive the glory when He takes us home to glory. Everything about Jesus is to lead to His tribute, praise, and glory.
Everything about Jesus is “yea” and “Amen” to the glory of God. You can trust His Word for your life. You can trust Him as He guides your footsteps. You can trust Him when dark clouds hover over you. Don’t waste the trial He sends you. Let’s hear a “yea” for Jesus!
